What is the weather like in March?

March in San Miguel de Allende is one of the most beautiful times of the year. Days are usually warm and sunny with average highs around 75°F (24°C), while evenings can cool down to the mid-50s°F (12–13°C). We recommend packing light layers and a jacket or wrap for cooler evenings, especially for outdoor events.

What should I wear?

Welcome Party:

  • For the ladies, cocktail casual dresses or separates

  • For the gentlemen, lightweight button-down or linen shirts and pants (no shorts or jeans), blazers are optional

  • We welcome festive touches to match the moment

Wedding Ceremony and Reception:

  • For the ladies, long or formal dresses in bold or romantic tones, sunset colors, soft neutrals, or metallics all shine beautifully here

  • For the gentlemen, dark or neutral suits, ties are optional

Remember to wear comfortable shoes if you are planning to walk to/from events as many streets in San Miguel are paved with cobblestone. If you prefer sandals or heels, consider a quick Uber or taxi ride.

Can I bring a plus one or children?

Because of venue capacity, requested attendance is limited to the names and guests on your RSVP. We also love your little ones! However, we’re planning an adults-only weekend (12 and older). A few family exceptions have been arranged and communicated to those guests directly.

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

We would love for you to be fully present with us during this once-in-a-lifetime moment. We kindly ask that guests refrain from taking photos or videos during the ceremony so our photographer can capture everything beautifully. Once the ceremony concludes, you’re welcome to snap away and share in the celebration!

Where should I stay?

We recommend staying at Hotel Live Aqua San Miguel de Allende, our wedding venue, where we’ve reserved a block of rooms at a discounted rate for our guests. Staying on-site makes it easy to attend all weekend events and enjoy the beautiful amenities of the hotel.

If you prefer a different style of stay, San Miguel offers many charming boutique hotels, bed and breakfasts, and Airbnb options within the city center. We recommend booking early, as March is a popular time to visit.

When should I book my accommodations?

As soon as possible! Rooms in San Miguel de Allende tend to book quickly in March

When should I arrive?

We recommend arriving by Thursday, March 19th or Friday, March 20th so you can join us for the welcome party on Friday evening and have time to settle in and explore this beautiful city.

If your schedule allows, consider extending your stay before or after the wedding — San Miguel is full of incredible food, art, history, and charm, and we’ll be spending extra time there both before and after the celebration.
